DEATHSQUAD Fan, Tattoo Artist, Painter

Growing up in South Florida was the perfect atmosphere to create the artist I have become. The multi-cultural environment molded my outlook on this world and gave me opportunities I would never have in any other place. I’ve always had the gift of art even at a young age I showed many skills in creative works and at the age of 11 I designed my first logo for my fathers motorcycle business. Keeping true to myself I pushed the limits of my endurance to continue my artistic goals while competing in sports and other activities. This became evident when I enrolled in as many art classes I could in my years of schooling both before and during high school where I took technical arts like drafting as well as more free flowing arts like ceramics and airbrushing.

Continuing my artistic education was always my highest goal..to grow and be creative in all things I did..as well as working with creative people who inspire me and others. After a short break I chose to enroll into the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Florida and embarked on my freelance journey as a paid artist at the same time. Majoring in Illustration and design I could easily take the classes I knew would suite my style of art and better prepare me for the working world. My talents were quickly recognized and more and more freelance work added to my progression as an artistic creator working for local night clubs, restaurants, and professional athletes doing murals and charity works of art for auctions to help others in need. During this time I was inclined by friends to create tattoo designs customized just for them which led to my love for the most ancient of the arts.

After a few years of struggle and headaches I finally got my apprenticeship as a tattoo artist and never looked back. I’ve tattooed now for over 22 years and it gets more challenging every day. The most gratifying aspect of the tattoo industry is working tattoo conventions where I can work side by side with some of the greatest artists in the world. The positive creative energies flowing during these events is overwhelming and pushes you to new levels not just in my tattoo art but in all areas, creating collaborative paintings to designing one of a kind books and merchandise. This became a mighty force in my growth as an artist and a person throughout my travels through over 15 states here in the US.

Which brings me to my future endeavors and projects to come both in the tattoo industry and artistic community. I still have much to learn and remain humble in hopes to seek out like minded artistic souls heading to the South West and up the Western Coast. Spreading the positive and healing energies of art while hopefully inspiring others to find their creative impulses and act on them without fears and doubts.
